I had a great week hiking from the resort, which is in a fantastic location close to Shenandoah National Park. The kitchen in my unit was well-stocked, and the beds were comfy, but the service aspects could really use improvement. Although the resort has lots of activities, I found the Wi-Fi was a bit unreliable, which was frustrating.

Rooms

My unit was spacious and bright, with a fully equipped kitchen, but the beds felt a bit too hammy for my taste. The setup for sleeping arrangements was a little odd, with one of the bedrooms having no door, which might not work for everyone. The TVs were a mixed bag; the flat screens in the family room and master bedroom were nice, but the old analog TV in the second bedroom wasn't great, especially with the low-def satellite connection.
Service
5.0
I found the service to be a bit lacking; the reception staff wasn't particularly helpful, and I felt there should have been more support available, especially with the Wi-Fi issues I encountered. They closed early, leaving us without assistance when we needed it.

The resort is perfectly situated for exploring the beautiful hiking trails and natural parks around Shenandoah National Park and the Massanutten Mountains. I loved that we could get to numerous hiking spots in under an hour, which made planning our days easy.
Dining

Dining at the resort was enjoyable, especially with such a variety of delicious options available at Base Camp restaurant. I also loved that there were great pescetarian-friendly restaurants in nearby Harrisonburg to explore.

The resort boasts a ton of activities and facilities, like the indoor and outdoor pools, arcade games, and access to hiking trails. However, I was disappointed that the outdoor mountaintop pool was closed when we tried to use it due to weather.

My stay at Mountainside Villas was wonderful, especially with the spacious unit that felt cozy and charming. I loved the beautiful location being close to Shenandoah National Park and the variety of family-friendly activities available. However, the wifi connection was quite slow and the TV reception was poor, which hindered my experience a bit.

I had an excellent getaway at Mountainside Villas @ Massanutten! My unit was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The beautiful wooded surroundings made for a relaxing atmosphere, but I did notice the resort's activities were limited due to staffing shortages. Overall, it was a lovely stay. 🌲😊
